The VOA has published statistics for Check Challenge Appeal to August 2018
169,390 properties have been claimed which represents less than 9% of all properties in the Rating List. Interestingly the current claim reference number (the sequential number given to a hereditament by the VOA when it is claimed) is just over 220,000 which means that 50,000 hereditaments have been re claimed following splits, mergers, address changes or where a claim has been declined.
