2017 Forms of Return to be Issued

The Valuation Office Agency has announced that it is starting to send out forms of return on which it will base the 2017 rating list.

Despite the title of the article on the Government website asking for rate payers’ help it should be remembered that there is nothing voluntary about this. Failure to return the completed form within the 56 days allowed could result in a fine.

The majority of rate payers should  expect these forms in the next few weeks leading up to Easter. If you receive a form to complete you should treat it like you would your Income Tax return and complete it in good time to avoid a penalty.

You should keep a copy of the completed form for your records and, if you have instructed us for the 2017 revaluation, send us a copy.

We are happy to  advise anyone who has retained us for the 2017 revaluation if they have difficulty completing the form.
