Business Rates
MUA Property Services are instructed on a wide range of property for Business Rate purposes and have made over 3500 appeals against assessments shown in the 2005 Rating list. Rateable value reductions in excess of £19million have been achieved, providing rate savings to clients of over £30million
These results are obtained by having an experienced Rating Surveyor, who is a Director of the Company, dealing with the case from first instruction through to the completion of the appeal process. No appeals will be made without a full inspection of the property and preparation of a valuation.
There can be no guarantees that rate reductions will be obtained, but nor can there be any excuse for making appeals without a thorough investigation of the assessment. In many cases we are instructed to act as a result of an appeal made, on the new clients behalf, by a so called expert in Rating. The appeal has been made without the necessary information and research, causing the Valuation Officer to inspect the property and increase the rating assessment as a result of new information that has become available.
